This photo was chosen by National Geographic to be included in their stock library and it won a "Best Image of the Week Award" for being in the top 20% on Pixoto.com. I took this photo while hiking the John Muir Trail in the summer of 2011. The trail took me from Yosemite Valley to the top of Mt. Whitney. On the way down from the summit their were numerous, beautiful scenes of the surrounding landscape. This photo is my attempt at capturing a piece of that beauty.

I captured this photo after a snow storm came through the Cleveland area. The storm provided some great picture opportunities that I was able to capture the following day including this row of trees!
